The dark green Maglula UpLULA magazine loader is a compact, universal loading and unloading tool designed to make preparing handgun magazines faster, easier and more comfortable. Its military-grade construction, broad magazine compatibility and distinctive dark green finish make it a practical accessory for regular range use, training sessions and competition preparation.

Designed to work with most single-stack and double-stack pistol magazines, the UpLULA supports popular handgun calibers ranging from 9mm Luger through .45 ACP. It is compatible with most magazines chambered in 9mm Luger, .357 SIG, 10mm, .40 S&W and .45 ACP. It also loads most .380 ACP single-stack and double-stack magazines, as well as many 1911-style magazines from major manufacturers.

The self-adjusting design eliminates the need for separate inserts, spacers or caliber-specific adjustments. Simply position the loader over the magazine, operate the mechanism and insert each cartridge with minimal thumb pressure. This controlled loading process helps reduce finger fatigue and discomfort, especially when working with stiff magazine springs or preparing several magazines at once.

This universal Maglula speed loader also functions as a magazine unloader, allowing cartridges to be removed efficiently when a magazine needs to be cleared. Its design helps protect the user’s fingers while reducing repeated pressure on magazine feed lips and ammunition.

The UpLULA can load at a rate of approximately one round per second and may significantly reduce the time required to prepare multiple magazines compared with traditional thumb loading. Its one-size-fits-most construction makes it particularly useful for shooters who own several handguns and want to carry one versatile loader instead of multiple model-specific tools.

Known Compatibility Exceptions

The UpLULA does not support every magazine or cartridge configuration. Known exceptions include certain Smith & Wesson seven-round 9mm single-stack magazines for models 908, 3913, 3914, 3953 and 3954, although it does load Smith & Wesson Shield magazines.

It is also incompatible with Glock G36 six-round .45 ACP magazines, Glock G37, G38 and G39 .45 GAP magazines, KelTec PMR-30 magazines and Luger P08 9mm magazines.

The loader is not intended for magazines with less than 8 mm of space between the feed lips or ammunition longer than 33 mm, including 9×23 Winchester, .38 Special, .357 Magnum, .357 Maximum, .41 Magnum, .44 Remington Magnum, .44 S&W Special, .45 Colt, .45 Winchester Magnum and .50 AE. It may also be unable to insert the final round in a small number of magazine designs.
