Shipping policy

States We Do Not Ship To

Due to restrictive or unconstitutional firearm laws that conflict with CVA’s mission, values, or product lines, we do not ship firearms, magazines, or restricted accessories to the following states or jurisdictions:

California
Colorado
Connecticut
Delaware
Washington D.C.
Hawaii
Illinois
Maine
Maryland
Massachusetts
Minnesota
New Jersey
New York
Oregon
Pennsylvania
Puerto Rico
Rhode Island
Vermont
Washington

Many of these jurisdictions prohibit AR-15 platforms, 30-round magazines, or other components central to CVA’s products.
We stand firmly for the Second Amendment, but must comply with state laws.

If an order is mistakenly placed from a prohibited state, it will be canceled and refunded (minus non-refundable payment processing fees).

Customers are responsible for ensuring all items ordered comply with their state and local laws.

Firearms Shipping & FFL Transfers

Firearms and serialized components (such as lower receivers) must ship to a valid Federal Firearms License (FFL) holder.

Requirements

  • You must provide your preferred FFL dealer during checkout.

  • CVA verifies the FFL before shipping.

  • Firearms cannot ship to PO Boxes or private residences.

  • Serialized items ship to the FFL; accessories may ship directly to your home (where legal).

  • Orders are held until the FFL confirms they are ready to receive the transfer.

Restocking Fee

If the FFL:

  • Refuses the transfer

  • Is invalid

  • Is unable to receive the package

…a $75 restocking fee will apply, and shipping charges are non-refundable.

Accessory Orders

Non-serialized items (optics, range gear, apparel, accessories, etc.) may ship directly to your home if legal in your jurisdiction.

CVA may drop-ship items from our distribution partners — including Lipsey’s, Chattanooga Shooting Supplies, and others.

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout.

Orders over $500 may require a signature upon delivery.

Order Processing & Shipping Times

Processing and shipping times may vary based on inventory, supplier timelines, and order volume.

Typical Fulfillment Times

  • Accessories: 2–5 business days

  • Serialized items / firearms: 7–10 business days after FFL validation

Special releases, holidays, or high-volume periods may increase processing times.
CVA will communicate delays whenever possible.

Shipping Methods

We ship using insured carriers such as:

  • UPS

  • FedEx

  • USPS

Carrier Requirements

  • Long guns typically ship Ground Service

  • Handguns ship 2-Day Air where required by law

  • Tracking information is emailed once shipped

Handling Fee for Small Orders

A $7.50 handling fee applies to all orders under $50 (before tax and shipping).
This fee covers packaging, processing, and fulfillment.
It is non-refundable once order processing begins.

Orders of $50 or more are not subject to this fee.

Damaged, Lost, or Incorrect Shipments

Please inspect all deliveries immediately.

Claims for damage, loss, or incorrect items must be submitted within 5 business days of delivery.

If a package arrives damaged:

  • Retain all packaging

  • Photograph the item and packaging

  • Contact CVA immediately

CVA will assist with any necessary carrier insurance claims.

Returns & Cancellations

Firearms & Serialized Parts

  • Non-returnable unless defective or mis-shipped

  • Once transferred from the FFL to the customer, no returns are accepted

Order Cancellation

  • Canceling before shipment:

    • Allowed

    • Payment processing fees are non-refundable

  • Canceling after shipment:

    • Subject to a $75 restocking fee

    • Shipping charges are non-refundable

Non-Serialized Item Returns

Returns accepted within 15 days if:

  • Unused

  • In original packaging

  • Not damaged

Customer pays return shipping unless CVA made an error.

Export Compliance

CVA does not ship outside the United States.

By ordering, you affirm compliance with:

  • ITAR

  • Export Administration Regulations

  • All applicable federal and state laws

Legal Responsibility

By placing an order, you confirm that:

  • You are legally permitted to purchase and possess the items ordered

  • All information you provide is accurate

  • You understand CVA is not responsible for legal penalties, seizures, or failed deliveries caused by inaccurate information or state restrictions
