We literally grew this CRUSH® Caveman Blend in the gravel parking lot of our warehouse. It has a blend of 4 different annual seeds that are all highly attractive and nutritious to deer. This blend was selected by Tiffany Lakosky because she wanted something she could plant without Lee's help in their backyard.

This plot grows very fast and can be hunt-ready in as little as 2-3 weeks. It works great with broadcast seeding but can also be drilled to a depth of ¼ inch. Planting into a weed-free even seedbed will increase productivity of this plot.

For best results plant 4-6 weeks before average first frost. Here is a handy frost calculator if you are uncertain about timing in your area: https://www.almanac.com/gardening/frostdates

Time planting so that there is a good soaking rain within 10 days of planting. This will ensure timely germination and prevent seed loss to turkeys and other birds. We recommend having soil pH between 5.5-7.5 for this product. Without a soil test we recommend putting 75 lbs of 13-13-13 per ¼ acre.

Fastest growing Fall-Planted Food Plot on the market

Contains 4 different annual seeds that mature at different times so there is something attractive to deer throughout the entire hunting season

Extremely easy to establish no-till formula – simply throw and grow!

Can withstand heavy browse pressure

Perfect for secluded kill plots with low sunlight and less-than-optimal pH

Will grow practically anywhere

Coverage: Plants ¼ acre/11000 sq. ft.

Bag size: 3.5 lbs.

Bag dimensions: 8”x4.5”x12”

Included in package: Crimson Clover Purple Top Turnips Forage Rape and Ryegrass

Site Prep:

Sunlight: 3+ hours

Fertilizer: 75 lbs.

13-13-13 per 1/4 acre or as recommended per soil test

Tools: Disk Drag and/or Glyphosate before planting

Soil pH: 6.0-7.5

Lime: 500 lbs. per 1/4 acre (if soil pH is <5) or as recommended per soil test

Soil: Seedbed must be weed-free firm and even

Planting Instructions:

Application: Drill or Broadcast Spreader

Depth: 1/4 in.
